The creation of our JAGIYA icon – A small symbol full of love and self-love

You may have already noticed our small, lovingly designed icon while browsing through our shop. Today I'd like to take you on a little journey – the story of how our JAGIYA icon came to be.

It all started with a single letter: ㅈ – the Korean letter Jieut (지읒) .
This letter is the first in 자기야 (jagiya) , a beautiful Korean word meaning "darling" or "sweetheart." 자기야 is an expression full of warmth and affection—these are the feelings we wanted to capture in a symbol for JAGIYA .

But for us at JAGIYA , this word means even more: It not only stands for the love we give to others, but also for the love we give to ourselves.
That's why it was important to us to create an icon that combines these two sides of love - self-love and love of neighbor.

With a lot of passion and attention to detail, we reinterpreted the delicate shape of the ㅈ —modern, minimalist, and full of emotion. Thus, our small, special JAGIYA icon was born.

This symbol accompanies us in everything we do. It reminds us that true beauty comes from within—and that you are worthy of looking at yourself with the same love you look at your loved ones.
